System-design interview practice

Practise the interview out loud.

Pick a question and talk through your design. Grind draws the diagram as you speak, then grades it against the question's criteria, so you know what you covered and what you missed.

Talking a design into a diagram, then getting it markedA speech bubble's words travel along a dashed line into a sheet where boxes and arrows take shape. A marking card in the corner shows two ticks and one open loop.

How practice works

  1. Pick a questionTwo question cards, the front one marked with a large question mark and a bookmark ribbon.

    Pick a question

Each question sets out the problem, its requirements, and what the grading looks at. Reading them is free, with no account needed.

  2. Talk it throughWords in a speech bubble travel along a dashed line and become two linked boxes.

    Talk it through

Describe your design out loud and watch the diagram build as you speak. Type or edit the diagram directly whenever that is easier. There is a clock, but no deadline.

  3. Read your feedbackA feedback sheet with two ticks and one open loop beside lines of notes.

    Read your feedback

Submit when you are ready. The grading goes through each criterion and says what your design covered and what it missed. Then compare it with one strong example design.
